Grand Canyon Headquarters Art Exhibit: Artist Melinda is There!

It's been an incredible honor to be one of this year's artists-in-residence at the Grand Canyon, only to have the added privilege of having my work exhibited at the Grand Canyon Park Service's Headquarters.

Life with a cherry on top.

A major thank you to Rene A. Westbrook, South Rim Artist-in-Residence program coordinator, Grand Canyon National Park. She has been so generous and thoughtful coordinating my stay and hanging my work. She is also a wonderful artist!

Here are more photos from the Canyon taken on different days:

It's such a rarified group you're in... the landscape is incomparable, and now you have an exhibition!

You've worked long and diligently, and the recognition is well-deserved. You go, Melinda! Recharge, get inspired, and soak it in.

Hope you like cherries. :-)

Hi Linny!
It certainly feels like the top of the world. Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. How I wish you and your favorite painting partner could be here too. You would have so much fun. You could make the Grand Canyon into Linnyland. What a concept!

Virtual hugs, Lovely Linny.

In my dreams, Marcia! In my dreams.
It would be a great pleasure to have you stop by. You would marvel at this place. I know that you, too, would be inspired to paint, paint, paint. I imagine sitting at El Tovar and having a yummy glass of wine (they have some good stuff) as we look out at the magnificent views...

Maybe someday?!

xo!

Hi Melinda,

I love your inspirational paintings, and the awe inspiring slide show. You are the great painter who belongs at the edge of this ancient natural wonder. You are the artistic wonder.

Thank you, Barbara!

Still soaking up all the grandeur. Sometimes taking a moment to chat with a raven, slow down for a doe crossing the road, and to spend time in the studio.

Warm hugs!
