In a Blue Moon, In a New Year

From my home to yours, may you have a happy, happy new year. I'll be looking through eyes of admiration and wonder at all of the stunning work you make in the coming year, learning all I can from each of you, hoping to keep up.

Be well. Be strong.

Melinda, Melinda, Melinda,
I love to get email from Melinda,
They are full of warmth
and friendship,
and fellow artistic feeling,
but the very best
I hope you'll agree
is the way she can jig a jig upside down on the ceiling!

"Sing the song that's in your hearts
Sing of the great Southwest,
Thank God, for Arizona
In splendid sunshine dressed.
For thy beauty and thy grandeur,
For thy regal robes so sheen
We hail thee Arizona
Our Goddess and our queen".

And that's all without alcohol for fuel :o) [Did I tell you I was on the wagon?] I wish I was in Arizona this morning. It's blooming cold here in Scotland!

As you see, Melinda, I'm still alive and kicking and this year to top it all for the first time I'm going to be a Grand-Pappy!!! (that's why I'm on the a show of solidarity and support to my new 'daughter' (if she can do it for 9 months then so can I, though my wheels are a bit wobbly atm :o{
My very best wishes to you and yours for this bright new year. May you have peace, prosperity and strength to your painting arm, and find fulfilment in all you do.
Your chum from Auld Scotia

Ah, David, you're makin' me blush. Thank you, dear artist, for your poetry, your kindness and for your presence online.

You are one of a kind--the good kind. I wish you well in everything you do.

I'm totally jazzed about your new role as Grand-pappy! Just wow. You must be floating on a cloud. May you always remain solid with your daughter and your extended family.

You've got so much to live for, so much to be well for. Remember we ghosts are here cheering you ever forward.

When it's blistering hot here, I'll remember the bloomin' cold of ye auld isle and Scotia.

Take care. Best of everything to you and yours always!
